Five ways to protect yourself from payment scams
Small habits that stop most attempts.

First, pause when a message creates urgency. Scammers want you to act before you think. Second, verify a request by contacting the person or company using a phone number you already trust.
Third, never share a code we email to you. We do not ask for verification codes, and no legitimate business needs one to be read out loud. Fourth, be careful with payments that cannot be undone, such as wires and gift cards.
Finally, turn on alerts so you see every payment and every new sign in. If anything looks wrong, freeze your card and send us a secure message straight away.
